Is it is Better to Visit the North or the South Island of New Zealand with a Limited Amount of Time?

It’s really hard to say which one is better, the North Island is more hilly and the beautiful beaches make it the perfect place for surfers and beach lovers.

On the other hand, the South Island is more mountainous and remote. The breathtaking landscapes you can find in the South Island are hard to find anywhere else in the country!

Between the two, we would probably say the South Island because we love the mountains, hiking and skiing. However, if you decide to head south don’t forget to stop over in Rotorua. This is a must-do stop in New Zealand!
