Spring (March-May) & Autumn (September – November): The “intermediate seasons” seem to be the best to visit Azerbaijan. Summer (June – August): Azeri summers are quite hot. Locals escape the heat by heading to the beaches along the Absheron Peninsula. You can do the same if you don’t mind the view of the numerous petrol wells and the pollution of the Caspian Sea. Average temperature: 22°C – 32°C
Winter (December – February): Winters in Azerbaijan tend to be quite mild along the Caspian Sea and cold in the countryside. There will be less tourists and you will be able to find an accomodation for just a few US dollars. Average temperature: 0 °C – 7°C
