The Mongolian consulate is 10 min walking from <strong>Yonganli metro station<\/strong> but the visa application centre is actually outside the consulate and it\u2019s open Monday to Friday from 9am to midday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" src=\"https:\/\/mignontravels.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/F17A65E4-E01F-45C5-BDD1-728A10BF500C-1024x576.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2274\" srcset=\"https:\/\/mignontravels.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/F17A65E4-E01F-45C5-BDD1-728A10BF500C-1024x576.jpeg 1024w, https:\/\/mignontravels.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/F17A65E4-E01F-45C5-BDD1-728A10BF500C-300x169.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/mignontravels.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/F17A65E4-E01F-45C5-BDD1-728A10BF500C-768x432.jpeg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><figcaption>Mongolian visa application centre in Beijing <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Citizens of the following nations <strong>don\u2019t need visa<\/strong> to go to Mongolia:&nbsp;Brazil, Canada, Georgia, Germany, Hong Kong, Israel, Japan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Macao, Malesia, Philippines, Russia, Serbia, Singapore, Thailand, Turkey, Ukraine, USA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In order to get the Mongolian visa you need the following documents:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Passport with a minimum of six months validity&nbsp;<\/li><li>Copy of the first page of the passport<\/li><li>Filled Visa Application form (click <strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/mignontravels.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/Visa-Application-Form-Mongolia.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"here (opens in a new tab)\">here<\/a><\/em><\/strong> to download it)<\/li><li>Entry\/Exit tickets<\/li><li>Travel itinerary&nbsp;<\/li><li>&nbsp;A copy of hotel&nbsp;reservation&nbsp;or accommodation information in Mongolia<\/li><li>One photograph (passport size)<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>If you plan to cross the border between Erlian and Zamin Uud (click <strong><em><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"here (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/mignontravels.com\/border-crossing-erlian-erhenot-zamiin-uud-the-cheapest-way-to-go-from-beijing-to-ulaanbaatar\/\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a><\/em><\/strong> to see how to do it) you won\u2019t be able to provide entry tickets. However, you can provide <strong>fake tickets<\/strong> for the visa, they won\u2019t bother too much. We bought two flight tickets on the <strong>Turkish airlines<\/strong> website where you can buy your tickets and <strong>pay<\/strong> them <strong>later<\/strong> without giving any card detail. The tickets are valid for a couple of days and then they get automatically cancelled. Once you receive the confirmation of your \u201cpurchase\u201d, you just need to cancel the label \u201cpay later\u201d and all it\u2019s done! We applied with two entry tickets Beijing-Istanbul-Ulaanbaatar and two exit ones Ulaanbaatar-Istanbul (weird eh?) and they didn\u2019t question anything. They are obviously aware that everyone is doing it!&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Even though it wasn\u2019t written anywhere, they wanted us to specify the <strong>travel itinerary<\/strong> in Mongolia. We just wrote four sights in Ulaanbaatar on a random A4 blank paper (provided by the visa application centre) and they were happy with that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Finally, we recommend you to book hotels\/hostels with <strong>free cancellation<\/strong> policy so that you are free to change your plane if you want.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The total <strong>cost<\/strong> for a single entry visa was (November 2019) \u00a5349 (\u00a5340 for the visa + \u00a59 of commission fees) and you can only pay by credit\/debit cards, both visa and MasterCard were accepted.
